Family Advocacy Making a Difference Workshops, November

Family and friends are often called upon to speak or act on behalf of people with disability. The formal term for speaking or acting on behalf of another person is advocacy.

Making a Difference is a workshop specifically for families and friends of people with developmental disability who would like to gain and develop their advocacy skills. The workshop will explore what advocacy is and why it is needed. It will also provide you with practical hints and tips to increase your confidence and success when you speak or act on behalf of a person with disability.
