Tee UP! 2015 Speaker: Peter FitzSimons


Down Syndrome NSW is proud to announce Peter FitzSimons as our special guest at the keynote speaker for Tee UP! 2015.
Highly respected social commentator and sports columnist, Peter FitzSimons is also the best selling biographer of World Cup winning Wallaby captains Nick Farr-Jones and John Eales, as well as former Opposition Leader Kim Beazley, boxer Les Darcy, aviator Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, war heroine Nancy Wake and Antarctic explorer Sir Douglas Mawson. 
He has been Australia’s best-selling non-fiction author in the last decade and in November 2013 released his current best-seller on Ned Kelly. Peter is a passionate sports lover and hugely entertaining speaker.

  • If you have a long memory, you might recall that Peter FitzSimons hosted the 'Hypothetical', one of the major opening events of the 7th World Down Syndrome Congress, held at Darling Harbour, Sydney in 2000. He was a wonderful moderator on that occasion, much appreciated by the international audience of people with Down syndrome, their families and professionals, and told us that he had enjoyed it enormously.
