Down Syndrome Australia: countdown to World Down Syndrome Day 2017

Join the countdown to World Down Syndrome Day 2017!

This year Down Syndrome Australia is celebrating #MyVoiceMyCommunity with the international Down syndrome community. Join us as we count down to  21 March with 21 stories of inclusion and personal success.

Today we share Nathan's story and are pleased that he will be on the Channel 7 Morning Show to share his story today.
Nathan is a film maker, influential ambassador, international speaker and NSW Young Australian of the Year Finalist. He’s passionate about creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability. “What you see on the outside is one thing, but what you see on the inside is more" ... read the whole story here.
If you haven't already, please connect with Down Syndrome Australia on facebook or twitter to see the fabulous stories as they come out. A special thanks to the people with Down syndrome and families who shared their stories and photos so generously.

In addition to our campaign, Down Syndrome Australia will be hosting a morning tea in Parliament House, Canberra, to engage with politicians to discuss and celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. The morning tea will be held on 22 March and we are pleased to have members from all sides of politics joining us. We will be sure to update you on the event in our next newsletter (subscribe online at the foot of  each page on the DSA website).
